The goal of Conquering others may be an incredible incentive for improvement to high level but it has its weakness when dealing with unexpected situations because in trying to conquer another one’s focus becomes narrow and although one can become incredibly strong this way, the narrow-minded view may keep one from being able to handle spontaneous issues that may come about on rare occasions.
The respecting of others to a great degree and learning from others in order to improve is also a really great way to improve but it also has it’s vice in only leading one so far; the reason one becomes the best is because he or she has done it with his or her own will. If one relies on another for his improvement it can only lead him so far before the person will have to find ways to improve on his her own, so although this method is quite good for improvement it keeps one from being the best.
Therefore the best method for improvement is neither to have the condition of conquering others nor relying on external sources for ultimate improvement. Thus the improvement is reliant completely on oneself without condition.
